1. Start dry: Before your shower, with both body and brush completely dry and no oil, lotion, or water. Hold the brush in a relaxed grip with pressure that feels firm but never painful, and skip any broken skin, rashes, or sunburn. 2. Limbs, toward the heart: Start at your ankles and sweep up the calf, knee, and thigh with long, light strokes, then work from wrist to shoulder on each arm. About 5 to 7 strokes per section, no scrubbing. 3. Torso, in slow circles: Use small clockwise circles on your stomach. On your chest, sweep from the center outward toward the armpits, avoiding breast tissue, with lighter pressure on thinner skin. 4. Rinse and moisturize: Hop in a lukewarm shower, then apply body oil or lotion within three minutes of toweling off, while your skin is ready to absorb it.
