Lard is a time-honored animal fat used for centuries for its vital nutrients and culinary versatility. FOND’s slow-rendered, infused lard is the first of its kind. We elevate this culinary staple with the infusion of Ceylon cinnamon and vanilla beans for an enveloping aromatic experience.
The pork fat for Fon's leaf lard is sourced from the incredible regenerative farm White Oak Pastures, slow-rendered in stainless steel kettles, and then packaged in their signature glass jars.
Lard is rich in monounsaturated fats, low in polyunsaturated fats, and contains beneficial omega-3 fatty acids (particularly pastured lard like ours!). It also has a high smoke point, making it great for sautéing, frying, baking, and everything in between.
