• Bakuchiol is a natural alternative to retinoids. Unlike retinoids, bakuchiol does not result in undesirable and irritating side effects. Much like retinoids, however, bakuchiol triggers the expression of genes involved in the production of the extracellular matrix of the skin. Hence, bakuchiol boosts the production of collagen which helps smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
• Calendula extract is a naturally occuring antioxidant. It protects the skin from stresses by neutralizing free radicals. Calendula extract has high concentrations of fatty acids which are abundant in the skin (e.g. linoleic acid). By supplementing the body with these fatty acids, calendula extract keeps the skin hydrated and helps stimulate collagen production.
• The main bioactive constituents of rosehip extract are vitamin A, C, and E. This extract packs a powerful punch, it has been known to lighten dark spots, and support the skin’s lipid barrier.
