They've made a conscious decision to create a lipstick crayons that are made from renewable resources, hence why they have a plain wooden and not plastic casing that needs sharpening. They know it takes little more work to maintain, but they think looking after our lips and the environment is important.
If you already have a 10.5mm sharpener suitable for soft leads, then please don't buy this one.
