Palo Santo Wood Bundle

Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows near the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal.  In Spanish, the name translates to “Holy Wood - Tree of Life."

Anima Mundi Apothecary aims to provide sustainable Palo Santo to support the preservation of native lands and culture surrounding this sacred tree's ceremonial harvest. Defending proper harvesting supports the preservation of indigenous lands and consciousness.

Anima Mundi works with a native family from the Chiclayo region in Northern Peru, who have been stewards of Palo Santo's native habitat for hundreds of years. They ethically wildharvest naturally fallen trees that have aged for at least 3-5 years on the ground while also replanting in the wild. It is within this aging process that the protective and mystical resins develop.

How to Use: Use a candle, match or lighter to ignite your stick of Palo Santo. Hold at about a 45-degree angle, pointing the tip down toward the flame. Allow it to burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then blow out. Move about your workspace, home, car, bathroom or anywhere you would like to clear the energy. The rich smell will also bring peace and clarity to the moment, along with good feelings. When finished, place the stick in a fireproof metal, glass, or clay bowl. The glow will end on its own unless you blow on the ember, which will keep the smoke going. Always use caution and respect when working with fire.
